A consumer decries products of Amway

Amway , What is it? A company producing cosmetics, or medicines or toiletries, or consumer durables? The company is doing all these and who gave license to Amway for these ? The energy drink which is not actually a product of Amway, but which is marketed by Amway, is highly dangerous drink, since it contains caffeine in a large quantity and Amway is not open about the exaxct quantity of Caffeine in it. However the lable on the bottle warns "not suited for children" but again the age limit of the children is not mentioned.Amway is playing with the life of Indian children. The NUTRILITE 9 protein powder is another product which has high concentration of protein in it. Even a single spoon a day for a year is enough for the formation of kidney stones. All the Amway products must be banned forthwith.

"not suited for children"

nice try but a lie. it says not suitible for those sensitive to caffine. caffine of which is derived mainly from the adaptogenic herbs found in this wonderful product that actually improved my 94 year old grandmothers kidneys that were failing before she began taking small amounts a day of this drink. ( this stated from her doctor)

Decent journalists fact check their sources.

First thing I did was go to the Amway India website and look up the XL Energy drink and see what it says about caffeine. What did I find?

Contains 60 mg caffeine in a 300 ml bottle

So much for "Amway is not open about the exaxct [sic] quantity of Caffeine in it"

And is 60mg "highly dangerous" as the poster claims? Well, a typical cup of coffee has about 100mg.

I then clicked on "Use Instructions" for XL Energy and it says -

Not recommended for children below 12 years.

So they also mention an age limit, on the site at least.

I then checked the Amway protein powder and discovered it has 8mg of protein per serving, less than one fifth the recommended daily protein intake. Furthermore, it's based on Soy and Milk protein, whereas the acidification problem that can lead to kidney stones is linked to animal meat protein. What does the poster claim?

Even a single spoon a day for a year is enough for the formation of kidney stones

Uhuh.

Quality journalism there Shyam, reposting claims a companies products are dangerous that just a few minutes on the web can easily show are false!

But, alas, the truth about amway isn't what you're interested in promoting, is it, Shyam?

If you really want to know what consumers think about Amway products, you'd do a scientific survey of a large sample. Reader's Digest Asia does this every year.

And who wins awards as "Most Trusted Brand" in the Vitamin/Health supplement category every year? Amway's Nutrilite

In the US, respected independent nutritional supplement researchers, ConsumerLabs, conducts surveys of consumer satisfaction every year.

And who tops surveys of "Consumer Satisfaction" year after year? Amway's Nutrilite

But why let the facts get in the way of posting false opinions, hey Shyam?

Nutrilite - blah blah blah.

Are there comprehensive unbiased reviews?

Why don't most former IBOs buy this after they stop being IBOs if the product is so good?

Joe former IBO's are busy like you complaining about non existant eagle parimiters.

Blah blah blah? wow,was that the best you could do? I think you dropped your gloves on that one.

Anothe Levi myth debuked. I posted the eagle parameters on my blog. I notice you have no comment about it.

Joe how can I comment on a stratagy someone duped you into beliving you out of all people could do? no where in my upline or crossline do we promote that, yet we are the few that do not use fancy words to describe our downline. I still stand to what I said, your non existant Eagle parimiters.

Levi, I didn't make that up. WWDB, a major LOS made up those eagle parameters.

I dont believe that there are no side effects. I have been taking calmac D and positrim and already having issues with kidney. I stopped calmac d and increased my water intake. I continued with positrim. The issue re surfaced after a month and this time it was worse. I am not sure if it is calmac d or the c 350mg of calcium in positrim that has caused this (this coupled with my less water intake habit), but there exists a certain degree of co-relation. There have been experiments in past to establish the co-relation between calcium supplements and kidney stone.

Having said that my friend has been taking these without any issue and successful weight loss. Each body is different and would recommend caution along with constant observation of dietician when you take these. The pain of kidney stone is too much for me to walk that path again.
